Girl of the House and I made these muffins this morning. Pumpkin chocolate chip muffins, yum!
However, with one person doing the dry ingredients, and one person doing the wet stuff, we totally missed the sugar!
But, you know what, they were pretty darn tasty anyway! Next time we'll skip the white sugar called for and put the 1/2 cup of brown sugar in, and see what we think.
Then we headed off to do some geocacheing.
Unfortunately, as we were headed off across the bridge near our home, we noticed this. Now, in this day and age, who in the hell throws their tv in the river?!!! It's bad enough, the stuff we find in our ditches, but in the RIVER?!!! Oh, man...
Kinda puts a crimp in the day, doesn't it?
We headed out to the St. Olaf College Nature Area, and the Cannon River Wilderness Park. We found four caches, and missed two.
Due to the recent thaw and refreeze, the snow is still pretty deep, however it's hard, icy, and very slippery. It's difficult to find some caches under this snow.
Hiking some of these trails felt pretty hazardous. Mr. GoatFeet clambered right up and down. I was the only one to fall on a regular basis. Hey, no broken bones though - that's good, eh?
There was a really cool frozen stream.
GotH climbed up and had herself a fun slide down.
Slip sliding away...
Ah, yes, that makes forced hiking with your parents almost enjoyable...

That frozen river looks like the ultimate in fun! Very cool. I haven't been getting out as much this winter with a new baby in the house, boy do I miss it!
